NORTH AMERICAN PROGRAM – FOR SUMMER 2008

The program is open to North American Jewish teenagers entering Grades 11 and 12 in September 2008.

The focus of this program is chesed – activities that will benefit all sectors of Israel society and Israelis in need of help, support, a smile and a hug.

DATES:
- Flight leaves New York (JFK) on Tuesday 8 July 2008
- Return flight leaves Tel Aviv (Ben Gurion) on Friday 15 August 2008

PROGRAM CONTENT:
The following aspects will form the basis of the "VolunTour Israel" Program:
* Running Day Camps for new immigrants at Absorption Centers
* Multi-day overnight trip with teenagers from families affected by terror
* Training as a Medical Clown and entertaining in hospitals
* Renovating bomb shelters and painting school walls
* Helping Israeli families affected by trauma
* Program for Jewish and Arab children to study together
* Activities and support for ill and disabled children
* Food collection and distribution for Israel's hungry

The program will also include important holy and educational sites, outdoor adventures and an inspirational Tisha B'Av period in Jerusalem.

TUITION:
$5900 (inclusive of $200 US non-refundable application fee).

This price includes the return flight from NY to Tel Aviv.
Participants will be responsible for additional costs of flights from other parts of North America to and from NY and for any extra flight costs as a result of not joining the group flights or as a result of flight adjustments by the participant. Plane fares are subject to increases in air travel taxes until date of issuing of tickets. Participants will pay the additional amount should such eventuate.

The deadline for the first round of applications is December 14th, 2007.
